Allegro MicroSystems Acquires Crocus Technology, TMR Sensor Specialist, for $420 Million

Crocus Technology, a specialist in Tunnel Magnetoresistance (TMR) sensors, has been acquired by Allegro MicroSystems for $420 million in cash. This acquisition is a perfect fit for Allegro's growth strategies and their focus on e-mobility, clean energy, and automation," says Allegro CEO Vineet Nargolwala. The acquisition of Crocus will be financed through a combination of existing cash reserves and a new term loan.
