12/01/2024

Advantech has recently introduced a series of industrial ATX motherboards under the name AIMB-723, equipped with AMD Ryzen Embedded 7000 processors. This marks a significant milestone as it is the first industrial-grade motherboard to integrate the AMD B650 chipset, promising robust computing performance over a lifespan of seven years. Notably, the motherboard stands out for being the first AIMB motherboard to incorporate DDR5 UDIMM, offering support for up to 128GB of DDR5 5200 RAM across four DIMM sockets.

The AIMB-723 motherboards boast a rich array of features, including the capacity to accommodate up to a three-slot discrete GPU card and three additional frame grabber cards for machine vision applications. In terms of connectivity, users can take advantage of triple display outputs (DP-HDMI-VGA), USB 3.2 (Gen 2) at 10Gbit/s, dual 2.5Gbit Ethernet, M.2, SATA (RAID 0, 1, 10), PCI, and up to six serial ports (5x RS-232, 1x RS-232/422/485).

In addition to the impressive hardware, Advantech's support for various operating systems including Windows 10 version 21H2 LTSC, Windows 11 version 22H2 GAC, Windows Server 2022, and Ubuntu 22.04, ensures flexibility and compatibility. Furthermore, the provision of OS images and essential drivers further simplifies the integration process.

The application scope of the AIMB-723 motherboards extends to AI-based machine vision and automated optical inspection, making them an ideal choice for businesses and industries leveraging these technologies. With its comprehensive feature set and robust performance capabilities, the AIMB-723 series represents a significant advancement in industrial motherboard technology.
